BRADENTON, FL – Thursday, March 31st, 2016 – Blake Medical Center is proud to announce our recipient of the 2016 Doctor of the Year, Neurosurgeon, Michael King, MD, an admired and highly regarded member of the Blake Medical Center family. Nominations were sent from patients, nurses and fellow physicians.

Dr. King was born in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies and attended medical school at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore. Dr. King completed his surgical and neurosurgical internship and residency at Vanderbilt University Hospital, Nashville and his pediatric neurosurgical residency at University of California, San Francisco. He has served on the Neuroscience Committee and the Surgical Case & Special Procedure Review Committee at Blake Medical Center.
